MR. IMOWO ETIM, BSC (AGM, Internal Audit)

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer


Mr. Adeduro is a graduate of the University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he obtained BSc. (Insurance) and MBA (Marketing) respectively. He started his career in Insurance with African General Insurance Brokers Limited Lagos, as a Marketing Executive in the Kaduna Branch of the Organisation.

In 1996 he moved to Continental Reinsurance Company Limited, Lagos (now Continental Re Plc) as Executive in Operations and Technical Division of the Company where he rose to become an Assistant Manager in the Organisation with a rich experience in Treaty Underwriting and Claims Management, Reinsurance Accounting, Client Services and Marketing.

In a constant pursuit of excellence, he crossed to the Banking Industry in 2001 to pioneer Insurance Desk at Liberty Bank Plc and was latter promoted to Deputy Head of Administration and General Internal Services.

In 2003, Mr. Adeduro was called upon to re-engineer the Claims, Reinsurance and Statistics Department of Standard Alliance Insurance Company Limited (now Standard Alliance Plc) for efficient client services and recoveries. As a result of meeting the yearning of Management in this task he was promoted to the position of Group Head of Technical and Risk Management in 2004 with responsibility for strategic functions of risk underwriting and acceptance, risk survey and inspection, reinsurance, claims, statistics and branches coordination.

In 2006 Mr. Adeduro was transferred to anchor Energy & Telecoms sector of Standard Alliance Insurance marketing as the Group Head, and was latter promoted to AGM Operations with additional oversight functions in Risk Management, Human Capital, Administration & Corporate Services and Information Technology Departments. His leadership prowess saw the growth of Energy and Telecom Group Income by over 300% between 2006 and 2007.

Mr. Adeduro is an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), and Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM).

He currently leads the management team as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.


Executive Director, Technical


Mr. Jeremiah holds both an MBA from Ambrose Ali University and Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Lagos. He is also an Associate of both Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) and Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM).

He started his insurance career with Manilla Insurance Company Limited in Calabar and later joined Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation in 1990 and worked in various technical departments for over 17 years including management of WAICA Reinsurance Pool.

While in Nigeria, he was extensively exposed to the rudiments of global Insurance and Reinsurance practice including Africa, Asia and Middle East. Mr. Jeremiah has presented several papers and is a resource person for the development of insurance Professionals in Nigeria.

He has attended several courses and seminars locally and overseas.


Executive Director, Business Development & Marketing


Austin is a graduate of Delta State University, Abraka and University of Ado-Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti where he obtained B.Sc (Economic) and MBA (Business Administration) respectively. He also holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Management from University of Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom awaiting his formal graduation.

He started his working career with Erikana Nigeria Limited in 2000 as a Marketing Officer overseeing sales and marketing.

Austin started his sojourn in the Insurance Industry with Alliance & General Insurance Company Limited in 2001 as a Marketing Executive and rose to the position of a Branch Manager due to his productive contributions to the growth of the company.

In 2004 he moved over to Capital Express General Insurance Company Limited as a Business Development Manager, (Public Sector & Energy) identifying and developing strategies that deepened the Company’s market share in that sector.

Prior to joining Anchor Insurance Company Limited, Austin also worked with Standard Alliance Insurance Plc where he garnered extensive experience and created a niche for himself in the Industry.  He started as Deputy Manager/Group Head, Public Sector in 2006 and was promoted to Manager (Public Sector/Energy & Telecoms) in 2007 saddled with the responsibility of starting and developing the Public Sector Group from zero to an enviable level and identifying business opportunities for the company.

In the same year 2007, he was again promoted Principal Manager/Divisional Head, (Public Sector/Energy & Telecoms) due to his knack for success and achieving set targets with the added function of formulating corporate and product development.

From 2008 when he was promoted to Assistant General Manager/Divisional Head, (Public Sector/Energy & Telecoms), Austin rose to the position of General Manager/Divisional Head overseeing Public Sector, Brokers Marketing.

In 2013 he was giving additional responsibility of supervising Public Sector/Emerging Markets of the entire North and Southwest of the country in the organisation with credible results and expansion of these portfolios before he left the service of the company in 2016.

Austin is a member of several professional associations and has attended courses and seminars locally and overseas.  He is happily married to Mrs. Naomi Osegha-Ebose who is a Chartered Accountant and the marriage is blessed with children.


General Manager, Business Development


Mr. Ofurum coordinates the company’s marketing activities. He started his career in insurance in Glanvill Enthoven & Co. (Nig.) one of the leading Insurance Brokerage company, where he worked for several years.

He left Glanvill Enthoven to join Noble Lowndes & Co. a multi-national Pension Scheme Administrator. While at Noble Lowndes & Co, he was directly in charge of Pension Scheme Administrator of Texaco Overseas, Kablemetal, Federal Ministry of Establishment (Civil Service Pension Administration Consultancy) to mention just a few.

He left Noble Lowndes & Co to join Eagle Insurance Brokers as the Head, Corporate Affairs & Marketing. While at Eagle Insurance Brokers he played a major role in building the Company and repositioning it from a captive perspective to one of the major insurance brokers in Nigeria. He had a brief stint with Honesty Insurance Company.

Uzo also lectured marketing at the Institute of Distance Education (IDEA) Abia State University of Abia State. He was the pioneer General Manager of Quintin Bell Limited, a Mutual Fund and Risk Management Company from where he joined Anchor Insurance Company’s Management team.

He holds a BSc. in Public Relations and PGD and MBA in Marketing. He is an alumnus of ESUT Business School, and member of Insurance Institute of Nigeria.


Deputy General Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

Mr Augustine Inegbenehi

Mr. Austin Inegbenehi is the Chief Risk Officer of the company. Prior to joining Anchor Insurance Co. Ltd., he was Assistant General Manager, Great Nigeria Insurance Plc. where he was responsible for Enterprise Risk Management.

He had also worked with Sola Oyetayo & co (Chartered Account) as a Senior Manager and Paul Osian & Co (Chartered Accountants) as an Audit Manager.

He has lectured in various subjects like Insurance, Auditing and Financial Account in some Nigerian Universities and he is a member of various professional bodies vis-à-vis Institute of Chartered Account of Nigeria, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Professional Certification in Risk and Compliance Management, Certified Forensic Accountant and a few others.

He has attended various training and seminars both locally and internationally.

Assistant General Manager, Internal Auditor

Etim Imowo - AGM

Mr. Imowo Etim holds a bachelors’ degree in Accountancy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

Before joining Anchor Insurance Company Limited, he has worked with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) where he was posted to various departments and ended as a branch Internal Auditor before his departure.

Mr. Etim moved to Tayo Akintan & Co (Chartered Accountants) where he acquired extensive professional experience in accounting, auditing, taxation and financial advisory before he proceeded to SIAO (Chartered Accountants), one of the leading accounting firms in Nigeria to continue his professional practice.

He spent 10 years at SIAO auditing across industries such as; Oil and gas, construction, banking, insurance, marine, merchandising and the public sector.

He is an associate member (ACA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and (ABR) Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN).


Company Secretary/Legal Adviser


Barrister Umoh is the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. He obtained LLB (Hons) from University of Uyo, in 1994 and BL from Nigeria Law School, Lagos in 1995.

He was called to Bar same year.

Before joining Anchor, Barrister Umoh worked in the same position for Nnedu Endeavour Nigeria Limited; and Afet Nigeria Limited.


Financial Controller

Mr. Kokoete is a highly motivated and result oriented individual with strong passion for professionalism and efficiency.


Group Human Resource Manager 

Bassey W Etukudo

Mr. Bassey is the Group Head, Human Resources and Administration in the company. He started his work career as Office Assistant with Ministry of Health, Cross River State in 1982. He left the Ministry as Senior Personnel Assistant to further studies in 1984. He joined the employment of Anchor Insurance Company Limited as an Administrative Officer in 1991. In 2010 he was appointed Group Head, Human Resources and Administration.

He holds B.SC and PGD (BA) from University of Uyo, Cross River State in 1988 and 1998 respectively. He also holds Certificate in Effective Supervisory Management and Work Planning Strategies from College of Arts, Management and Technology, Aba in 1993.

Mr. Bassey has attended several certificated training programs in Human Resources and Personnel Management; and on Administrative and Material Management locally and internationally.

He is an Associate Member of Personnel Management of Nigeria (AIPMN) and Associate Member, International Association for People and Performance Development (IAPPD).
